Boosie Fade

Boosie Fade

Rappers are known for influencing popular culture and Lil Boosie is no different. Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie transformed the traditional low fade into the Boosie fade after rapping about getting his haircut on his Ride Home freestyle. The haircut subsequently became popular among young males because of its easy maintenance and edgy appeal.

The Boosie Fade is achieved by fading the entire sides and back of the head, for a smooth bald look. About an inch of hair is left on the crown, starting at the front of the head to the middle, where it is completely faded to the nape. The hair on top can be worn close to the scalp or about half an inch high, depending on personal preference. The entire hairline is then lined up for a defined and finished look. When worn close to the scalp, waves can be a styling option for added versatility. Some men opt for designs that reflect their tastes and personalities and these can be achieved from barbers who specialize in creative designs. This haircut is low maintenance so daily grooming will be a breeze. It only requires a little brushing and a light moisturiser for softness and sheen.
