Medium Reg Haircut

Medium Reg Haircut

The med-reg haircut is just one of 12 haircuts that are utilized in the US military. This haircut, like the rest, is specially designed with safety and utility in mind. It is a clean, short and basic cut that requires little maintenance. There are no fringes to impede visibility on the battlefield and no unruly locks to get trapped in barb wires. While these haircuts were predominantly worn by servicemen, they have gained popularity among civilians. The med-reg is similar to the regular and low fade.

The hair is cut about two or three inches on top and gradually faded in the back and sides. The hair on the crown can either be brushed forward or swept to the side. The fade at the back and the sides is tapered down so that the scalp isn’t completely bald, as in the case of the low-reg haircut. The med-reg is ideal for men who want a basic low cut without looking like a relative of Kojak. The only place on the head that is bald is the areas above the temples and those surrounding the nape. This basic cut is simple and economical in that it can be maintained at home, saving money and time spent at the barbers. All you need is a good clipper.
